Dr. Gary Hutnik is a Detroit Area native who has practiced dentistry for over 25 years in various locations, including Ann Arbor, Lansing and Portland. He has maintained a private practice in Portland since 1991.
He graduated from Garden City West High School, University of Michigan (B.S.), University of Michigan School of Dentistry (D.D.S.) and Madonna University (MSBA).
“I knew that I wanted to be dentist since I was 8 years old,” says Gary. “I truly enjoy the contact with patients and making a positive difference in their lives. I try hard to make each visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.”
Gary embraces the challenge of making smiles stunningly beautiful. He employs his artistic skills in unique and creative ways. He takes an extensive number of continuing education courses each year, especially in the area of cosmetic dentistry.
Gary lives in Okemos and is married to Julia. They have two young children, Christian and Lauren. In his leisure time, he enjoys being a dad and supporting the activities and sports in which his children participate. Additionally, his interests include golf, cycling, downhill skiing, music, art and writing.
